Caitlin Mittrick, a rising 2nd-year graduate student in the International Development Studies program, currently serves as a Peace Fellow with the Advocacy Project in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Peace Fellow, Caitlin is working with AP's partner Shield of Faith. She supports two projects, one focused on embroidery and sewing in Kangemi, Nairobi, and another focused on composting and organic gardening in Kibera, Nairobi. She frequently blogs about her fellowship to highlight her and her colleagues' work.
She applied and received an International Internship Grant to help fund her fellowship. On June 16, 2023, Caitlin took over GSS's Instagram account to give us a peek into her life and work in Kenya through these stories.
