Viktoria Mironova was a visiting research scholar from the Kyrgyz Republic during the 2004 -2005 academic year at The George Washington University. She was sponsored by the Junior Faculty Development Program funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Her academic advisor is Dr. Mark Starik from the Department of Strategic Management and Public Policy, GW University.

Ms. Mironova obtained her diploma degree in economics from the State Kyrgyz National University in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic in 1998. She defended her thesis on Securities Market Development in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Ms. Mironova obtained her Master of Science degree in environmental management and policy from the Manchester University and attended the Central European University, Budapest, Hungary in 2001. She wrote her thesis on Ingredients of Successful Introduction and Implementation of the ISO-certified Environmental Management Systems in Central and Eastern Europe during her internship in the Regional Environmental Center, Szentendre, Hungary.
