During the 2000-2001 academic year, Irina Boldonova was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning. Her stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Her mentor at GW was Professor Kathryn Newcomer.Irina Boldonova is a professor in the Department of Social Technologies in the East-Siberian State Technological University in Ulan-Ude, Russia. She teaches courses in interpersonal communication, public relations, and world literature. Her research interests are literary hermeneutics and hermeneutic approachs in the study of human communication.

Irina Boldonova received a B.A. from Moscow State University, and a Kandidatskaya degree from Buryat State University, Ulan-Ude, Russia. In 1997 she had an internship at Moscow State University and received a certificate in philosophy and methodology.
