Official Blogs are for sites pertaining to official university business, typically under an academic or administrative office. Student Organization websites should use the Student Org Website Request form. And all faculty, staff and students needing a personal website must use the Unofficial Blog sites process.
All requests for Official Blogs are reviewed by the Digital Services Support team within the Office of Communications & Marketing to ensure that GW Blogs is the appropriate platform for your project.
Those requesting an Official Blog should familiarize themselves with the policies surrounding their use.
Please allow 3-5 business days for your request to be processed. Requests that come from an academic department may also be subject to review and approval by your school's or college's central communications or technology office and may take additional time to process.
Unofficial Blogs sites are for the personal use of current faculty, staff and students at the George Washington University, and are tied to an individual's status at the university. Unofficial Blogs sites do not require formal review or approval, however, they are subject to GW's policies.
